Sorry I didnt answer you, been crazy busy. Yea I have been playing with the LED tubes too and like them. Maybe if we can get some commitments for a December meeting we can talk about them. Is he local?

Gordon Reed is the fellow's name and he is the fellow that met you and I at the fish hatchery trip a couple months ago. Like me, he has to travel some to get to meetings. Since he just did the presentation, he would be ready to do it again this Sunday at the November meeting if there is some club member interest (or maybe in December?) The neat part of what he shows is a simple wire change that allows for LED lighting tubes with more choices and cheaper price than getting tubes that work with existing ballasts since you bypass the ballast. Simpler and less to go wrong. About $7.00 a 4 foot tube. This is for T-8 and T-12 size units. A great way to put old reflectors back into use or convert what is working now. There are also possible ways to build reflectors from PVC gutter and a minimum of parts.
