CITAC Monthly Meeting

The meeting January 8th will be held in the Bloomington Public Library Community Room at 2PM.

There will be a presentation by Illinois Wesleyan University Biology professor Edgar Lehr. Professor Lehr's presentation is titled "In search of amphibians, reptiles and fishes in montane forests and high elevational grasslands in Peru.

"I have done research in Peru for nearly 20 years. In my presentation, I will introduce the different ecoregions of Peru and talk about recent fieldwork within a remote protected area where no biologist has gone before. I will show newly discovered species of amphibians and reptiles. In the second part I explain the process of naming species. Towards the end, I will show photos of fishes that I took in Hong Kong and the Philippines.' - Professor Lehr
